Php2.9 Million worth of unauthorized and under-filled LPG tanks and cylinders, alleged counterfeit LPG seals and refilling equipment were seized by police operatives of the CIDG Anti-Fraud and Commercial Crimes Unit (AFCCU), Anti-Organized Crimes Unit (AOCU) and Detection and Special Operations Unit (DSOU) during the simultaneous implementation of Search Warrants (SWs), on Tuesday morning (December 4, 2018 at about 10:30 AM) in General Trias and Dasmarinas City, Cavite.

In his submitted report to CIDG Acting Director, PCSUPT AMADOR V CORPUS, PSUPT RAYMUND LIGUDEN, AFCCU Chief, said that eight (8) SWs were implemented against LUCILDA FLORENDO y LUCIO of One Stop Shop LPG Accessories Store, VIRGILIO HESIM y TAMAYO of Mr. Thumb Store-cum-Warehouse, NORMAN RAFER y ONG and JOELSON ECO y MAESA of JP Referar Enterprises, and RUEL MATILDE y MOLLARCA of Russell Gas Trading, resulting to their arrest and the confiscation of a total of 103 pieces of unauthorized and under filled LPG tanks and cylinders, 2 units of Elf delivery trucks, a motorcycle, half a sack of alleged counterfeit LPG seals and several paraphernalia were confiscated by the operating teams.

The respondents and all seized pieces of evidence were brought to CIDG AFCCU Office in Camp Crame for disposition and documentation.

Violations of Sec 168 (Unfair Competition) of RA 8293 (IP Code of the Philippines) and BP Blg. 33 as amended by Sec. 1 (Possession of underfilled liquefied petroleum gas cylinder for the purpose of sale, distribution, transportation, exchange or barter) of PD No. 1865 will be filed against the arrested persons before the Department of Justice in Manila through inquest proceedings. ###
