JR to maintain peace and order through his “Malasakit+Kaayusan+Kapayapaan=Kaunlaran” Program, the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) launched separate manhunt operations that resulted in the apprehension of 2 Regional Most Wanted Persons (MWPs) in its continuous campaign against wanted individuals on March 6, 2023.

According to CIDG Director, PBGen Romeo M Caramat Jr, the arrested accused were identified as Joven Lazar Bacal, 29 years old, a resident of Brgy. Little Baguio, Malita, Davao Occidental, tagged as CALABARZON’s Top 1 MWP, and Joselito Candelario Claridad, 45 years old, from Brgy. Rizal, Rizal, Occidental Mindoro, listed as MIMAROPA’s Top 8 MWP.

CIDG11 Davao Occidental PFU, together with Malita MPS, RIU, HPG, and PIU, served a Warrant of Arrest (WOA) against Bacal for 4 counts of Statutory Rape issued by Presiding Judge Janice Andrade UDarbe, RTC, 4th Judicial Region, Branch 22, Imus, Cavite dated November 18, 2022.

On the other hand, the detectives of CIDG Occidental Mindoro PFU, together with the local PNP operating units, arrested Claridad wanted for the crime of 3 Counts of Rape with WOA issued and signed by Hon. Ruben E. Sevillano Jr., Acting Presiding Judge of RTC, Fourth Judicial Region, Branch 45, San Jose, Occidental Mindoro dated February 28, 2023, with NO BAIL recommended.

Arrested persons were brought to their respective operating field offices for proper disposition and documentation.

“This accomplishment is another strike against criminality. Ang CIDG ay patuloy sa kampanya nito laban sa mga wanted na kriminal upang mapanatili ang kaayusan at kapayapaan sa ating komunidad,” CIDG Director added. ###
