Through its continuous implementation of its flagship program under Other Law Enforcement Activities against increasing criminal fraud, detectives of the CIDG Intelligence Division together with the Coast Guard conducted an entrapment operation against three (3) individuals for alleged Estafa who according to reports were recruiting victims or applicants to be included in the final list for PCG recruitment in exchange for Php15,000.00 each.

The successful operation was conducted on May 22, 2023, from around 6:58 PM until 8:00 PM in front of Baclaran Church, Roxas Boulevard, Pasay City, where one Nelson Fortuna Abordo was caught red-handed receiving the entrapment money while his two companions identified as Anne D. Jubac and John Herald U. Padillo, were able to elude arrest after sensing that they were being entrapped.

Seized from the possession and control of Abordo were the following pieces of evidence:

1. One (1) caliber .45, chamber loaded;

2. Seven (7) rounds of ammunition for caliber .45;

3. Marked money;

4. Boodle money; and

5. One (1) expired LTOPF ID.

The arrested suspect was brought to the CIDG Headquarters along with the pieces of evidence for documentation and proper disposition. Cases for violation of Art. 315 of the RPC and RA 10591 are now being prepared for filing in court.
