With the directives of the CPNP PGEN RODOLFO S AZURIN JR’s to carry out the “Malasakit, Kaayusan, Kapayapaan = Kaunlaran” Program, the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group through its step-up anti-criminality campaign led to the arrests of Top 2 Regional Most Wanted Person in Caraga, today March 6, 2023 along Marketsite, Brgy. Mangagoy, Bislig City, Surigao del Sur.

Operatives of CIDG SDS PFU in coordination with Bislig CPS served a Warrant of Arrest against Elmar Artiza Delos Santos, a 37-year-old driver, a resident of Rajah Cabungsoan, Lingig, Surigao del Sur for the crime of MURDER with NO BAIL recommended and FRUSTRATED MURDER with Php200,000.00 bail recommended.

Said WOA was issued by Hon. Jacquiline Ongpauco-Cortel, Presiding Judge of RTC, 10th Judicial Region, Branch 29, Surigao City, dated October 14, 2022.

The arrested accused was brought to CIDG SDS Provincial Field Office for documentation and proper disposition before the return of the WOA to the issuing court.

“The CIDG under my administration will maintain its steadfast efforts to eradicate all forms of criminality. We’ll keep reviving our anti-criminality campaigns to track down and apprehend criminals so we can bring them into the legal system,” CIDG Director, PBGen Caramat Jr said. ###
